Coach Dr. Eyyad Maghayreh of Amman, Jordan, has an extensive background in training, competing, coaching, and refereeing that accumulates to more than 25 years of experience.

Educational Background:

  • PhD in physical education- Jordanian University – 2006
  • M.A degree in physical education- Jordanian University – 2003
  • B.A. degree in physical education-Jordanian University – 1991
  • Certificate with honors from the university of Delaware and U.S Olympic committee for the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program – 2015

Highlights of his fencing career as a competitor, coach and referee include:

  • He was a member of the Jordanian Épée National Team for several years.
  • He has a PhD in Physical Education and has trained under the supervision of the International Olympic Committee courses taught in Jordan, Iran, and Lebanon.
  • He is a member of both the Jordanian Fencing Federation and Referee Committee in the Asian Fencing Federation.
  • He is Head of and General Secretary to the Jordanian Fencing Federation Technical Committee.
  • He was a National Team Coach for Jordan
  • His expertise in refereeing includes positions as the President of the Referee Committee of the Asian Federation as well as the Jordanian Fencing Federation.
